Fried prawns with ham and cheese are the perfect appetizer!
This perfect appetizer is easy to make, and only requires a few ingredients. You will need:
1/2 cup diced ham
1/4 cup grated cheese
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour for dredging
1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water for dipping

Begin by mixing together the diced ham, cheese, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper in a bowl. Shape mixture into small balls.
Next, set up a dredging station by placing the flour in one shallow dish, the egg mixture in another shallow dish and the bread crumbs in a third shallow dish. One at a time, coat the ham balls in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, then coat in bread crumbs. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper while you finish preparing the rest of the appetizers.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour milk into a shallow dish. Dredge shrimp in the flour mixture, then dip in milk. Place shrimp on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add ham and cheese; cook until cheese is melted and ham is heated through, about 5 minutes. Add the shrimp to the pan; cook until just cooked through, about 3 minutes per side. Serve immediately.

To make this dish, you'll need:

- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil

- 6 ounces sliced ham
- 6 slices American or Swiss cheese
First, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, thyme, basil, and paprika in a shallow bowl. Then set aside.
Next, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, coat the shrimp in the flour mixture until well coated. Shake off any excess. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Slice into bite size pieces.

At this point your skillet should be pretty full so we're going to start cleaning it up a bit. Turn the heat up to medium high and add the milk to the skillet. Scrape any of the brown bits off of the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon. Cook for about 3 minutes or until thickened. Once thickened, turn off heat and let cool slightly before assembling your sandwich!
Sandwiches are best assembled when everything is nice and cooled down so assemble yours right away! Place 4 slices of cheese on each slice of bread then top with ham, shrimp, and a dollop of sauce! Dig in!
